Designer stools

On our site you can find various proposals for design stools in metal, wood or plastic. Originally the stool was made of wood and served as a low seat or footrest. It became fashionable in Tuscany during the fifteenth century and subsequently its function as a seat was consecrated in France, at the court of Louis XIV. In the presence of the king, one could only sit on a chair of lower height than the throne.

The stool therefore had a ceremonial role. There are various types of stools, some models are the piece of furniture associated with a given profession: for example, that of the pianist, which provides for an adjustable one or that of the boxer, who rests on it at the corner of the ring. The stool, today, it can be high or low and is ideal for the kitchen, the living room or for outdoor environments. If you are looking for a classic wooden model, Billiani has designed a line with high legs in solid oak and the seat with backrest in plywood, available natural or lacquered. Infiniti offers a variant with a curved wooden shell, with soft lines; while Midj has created one with the structure in stained beech and the back in steel with a "grating" effect.
